I thought this blog post was a very insightful about popular music in relation to the authentic, immediate quality of street musicians. I liked your charge to readers at the end to go out and listen to the sounds of their city. It reminded me of my time in Europe. I saw so many subway musicians and street musicians. The ones in Madrid and Munich were some of the best I heard; they captured the city for me.
